How Do You Place Your Entrance Cabinet?
You home may be the chaos from the second you enter If there’s little or no space for your placement and storage at the entrance. After entering the house, change clothes, slippers, and put bags... If they are not properly placed, either the entrance or the living room outside the entrance would be messed up.
Here are some design suggestions about the lack of a porch at home, including several common types.
If there is an horizontal aisle connecting the living area at the entrance--
A small storage cabinet can be place by the wall opposite the entrance door. The cabinet facing the door can store some odds and ends. Put green plants and hanging pictures and make it look more stylish.
If there is a vertical aisle connecting the living area at the entrance-
You can set up an entrance cabinet on the wider wall on the right hand side of the entrance as shown below, and the narrow wall on the left can be designed with partitions and hooks to achieve a powerful storage function.
The entrance cabinet is also serve as the dining cabinet since the dining table is close to the entrance door. The design of the upper and lower cabinets not only increases the storage space, but also effectively distinguishes the functions of the cabinets.
If the dining room on the left, living room on the right at the entrance--
The entrance cabinet is placed against the wall, with shoes on the bottom and storage on the top. After this design, the living room and dining room can form a transparent pattern.
If the entrance door faces the dinning area--
In the case that there’s some space, make a cabinet partition directly along the wall in the dining room. An aisle-style entrance is formed at the door, and the dining room is on the other side. In this way, the cabinet play a role in proving extra storage, making an visual partition in an open area and giving a sense of privacy.
The cabinet partition stands in the middle, and its both sides can lead to the dining room so that the space forms a circular movement line, which is very convenient.
In another case that the door is too close to the wall on this side, setting a large cabinet will hinder the space flow. So only a small shoe cabinet can be placed on the right side of the door.
